New to the festival in 2022: Street wise art battle! 10 artists will be selected to paint a park bench in their own unique styles during this live painting competition. Stop by the art zone and vote for your favorite bench! The top three artists receive a cash prize. prints from participating artists will be available for sale in the art zone.

Benches will be on display in boulder for a year after the festival!

ANA Anu

Multi-media artist, author, and educator working between EcoFeminism, policy organizing, and material poetics. Ana's artwork addresses a broad range of environmental issues and has been featured nationally.

Chris Haven

Chris began doing art at an early age and was inspired by his grandmother to draw. Later he was influenced by graffiti and street art to create a unique style of his own.

An interest in animals and comic books at a young age led to a convergence in interests. Illustrating the wildlife she is enthralled by is an opportunity to bring a small amount of that same fascination to the viewer.

Kaylee bender

As a self-taught artist, Kaylee lives by Ms. Frizzle's famous line: "Take Chances, Make Mistakes, and Get Messy!" In a time when familial, cultural, and community history is being gentrified, Kaylee celebrates community with her art.

Shane Huss

Shane Huss is a two-time, internationally published calligraphy artist, specializing in 12th- Century Gothic scripts. Through his organic inspired lettering, trees are planted with the completion of every project, totaling 10,015 trees planted.

Tyrell Osborn

tyrell Osborn is a Colorado-based artist who specializes in watercolor and acrylic painting, residential and public murals, and several other mixed media forms. she seeks inspiration from sacred geometry, patterns of nature, cycles of the moon, plant medicine, and the belief that all living organisms are connected.

Join us at the Boulder Creek Festival on May 28th, 29th, and 30th, 2022. We’ll be ringing in the summer months with live music, food trucks, games, classic carnival foods, and more. This year, we’re including a comedy show and a live art show. The Boulder Creek Festival is located along 9th and 13th street between Arapahoe and Canyon Road. Hosted annually for more than 30 years, the event is the unofficial kickoff to summer in Boulder, and features three days of festivities, including bands and performances; food and beverage, ranging from food trucks to healthy vegetarian eats; a curated marketplace showcasing local makers, fine art and more; a business bazaar; and a Creekside for Kids area with family-friendly activities and entertainment. At its core, the festival is a Boulder-centric event produced for and by the community. This event is free to the public and requires no ticket.
